We know just how powerful apprenticeships can be. For over 25 years, Gen2 has been delivering bespoke training to hundreds of young people and adult learners across the region. We have seen first-hand the difference apprentices make: their enthusiasm, fresh thinking and eagerness to learn bring an immediate spark to workplaces. Businesses thrive on the new energy apprentices contribute, while apprentices themselves gain invaluable skills, experience and confidence in return. It’s a partnership that has proven to be the backbone of growth and innovation in Cumbria’s industries for a quarter of a century.

Our new apprentices have already impressed us with their teamwork and determination during induction activities, which included a series of challenging but rewarding team-building exercises. Watching them overcome obstacles together was a reminder of why we are so proud to do what we do. These young people are not just learners; they are the engineers, business leaders and teachers of tomorrow, and it is a privilege to support them as they take these first steps.

We are equally excited about what’s to come. With more students due to join us in the weeks ahead, the energy across our centres continues to build. And this November, our open evenings will give employers and the wider community the chance to see for themselves the opportunities apprenticeships create. Even businesses not currently recruiting are encouraged to attend, to share their experiences and inspire the next generation of talent.
