When do I apply?

Now is the perfect time! Gen2 recruit apprentices and degree students for programmes such as engineering and manufacturing once per year, with students typically starting in September. Applications are currently open. You must be a minimum of 16 years old when you start your apprenticeship. The apprenticeships starting this September can be found here.

Gen2 also run a number of apprenticeship programmes such as business & administration, customer service and teaching assistant which can be started at any time of the year. We refer to these apprenticeships as "immediate start" vacancies which can be found here.

How do I apply?

All apprenticeship applications are online via our recruitment portal which can be found by clicking on the relevant section in our vacancies page.

Have a look at our current apprenticeship and training opportunities.

You can apply for as many vacancies as you like.

If there aren’t any that meet your needs at the moment then you can submit a General Application for Engineering, Business Support or Teaching Assistant Apprenticeships or for a Step In2 programme. Once your application is ready, we’ll make sure that it’s available for employers to review.

Top Tips!

Don’t forget to check your spelling, punctuation and grammar. Make sure you’ve got capital letters in all the right places. Copy your text into Word and use the spelling and grammar check. Getting someone else to read over your application for you can also help make sure you’ve covered everything.

Think about creating a portfolio to help you talk about your skills and experiences. This could include certificates of achievements, evidence of projects and hobbies or events you have taken part in.

Good luck!
