Gen2's innovative apprenticeships and HTQ programs provide top-tier training to meet industry demands and boost regional economic growth

Demand for highly skilled professionals continues to grow. There is a need to widen participation and Gen2 has invested in Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQ) and committed to offer Lean Manufacturing and Team leading apprenticeships in partnership with Manufacturing Industry, University of Cumbria, and the Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership (CLEP).

Engineering and Manufacturing HTQ's are L4 HNC and LS HND designed and endorsed by employers and IFATE. Learners can study independently by accessing virtual or live masterclasses hosted on an evening or attend group sessions in one of our training centers. Learners can study 1 module at a time or choose a module which is of interest or sign up for the full qualification.

The new Lean and Team leader Manufacturing apprenticeships have been developed in direct response to employers who struggled to find a local provider that can design and implement training that precisely meets the needs of modern manufacturing companies. Our curriculum covers advanced manufacturing techniques, embeds continuous improvement principles while developing vital essential soft skills to meet employer needs and is delivered around complex working shift patterns.

Gen2 will also continue to offer a wide range of apprenticeship programmes in business, teaching, Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction to service the skill needs of Cumbria. All of our apprenticeships are developed to meet the specific needs of each industry.
