Overview:

Gen2 has partnered with NECIT Services to register as an Approved Examination Centre and give our customers in  Cumbria access to NECIT’s world-class welding expertise, elevating their training to internationally recognised standards of excellence.

NECIT (23388) is a UKAS accredited ISO/IEC 17024 Personnel Certification body, appointed by the UK Government’s Department for Business & Trade (BEIS) as a Recognised Third Party Organisation (RTPO) for the certification of welder & Brazer qualification tests and welding & Brazing operator qualification testing.

This partnership means in addition to delivering apprenticeship and qualifications in fabrication and welding from Level 2 to degree level.  We can provide full coded welding certification.

As Gen2 has dedicated Welding Centres across all off Cumberland and Westmorland and Furness, customers now have an option of either onsite assessment in their workplace or in one of our centres, this is ideal for workers who want a quiet and distraction free area to be assessed. 

Gen2 and NECIT as part of this assessment will:

• Ensure welders are working to pWPS/WPS,
• Conduct any job knowledge testing as required.
• Witness complete welding activity in order to provide the welder with the required range of qualification.
• Organise and coordinate all non-destructive and mechanical testing as required by any international standard.
• NECIT technical manager will then review all documentation and produce a UKAS certification, which is then sent to you as a complete document package
