Gen2 offer a wide range of apprenticeships covering key business sectors such as engineering, manufacturing, business, IT, project management and education. Gen2 continually work with employers to meet business demand. Our current apprenticeships are detailed below.

Early Years Educator

Early Years Educator

  • 18 months
  • Level 3

Entry Requirements:

Must be aged 18+ years and hold a minimum of 96 UCAS points (equivalent to the previous rating of 240). This total can have been gained either at ‘A’-level in appropriate STEM subjects, or, alternatively, a National Certificate at Level 3 (such as BTEC) either in Science or Engineering. In addition, prospective candidates must have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grades 9 to 4 (equivalent to the previous GCSE A* to C grades) and which include maths, English and a science subject.

What will I study?

Learners undertaking this apprenticeship will cover as minimum:

  • Keeping Children Safe in Education-Safeguarding/Health and Safety
  • Equality and Diversity
  • Using Technology
  • Support Assessment for Learning
  • Communication/building relationships
  • Professional Standards
  • Understand how pupils learn and develop
  • Developing Educational Support Strategies

What qualifications will I achieve?

On successful completion of this apprenticeship learners will achieve:

  • NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) (QRN: 601/2629/2).

  • English and Maths at Level 2.

  • Successfully complete the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid. (RQF) or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) to meet the EYFS requirements
