





As a Machining Technician you will produce complex and precision work by machining components. Machining technicians interpret information and plan their activities to machine components from metal or specialist materials using conventional or CNC machine tools.
Entry requirements may vary but are typically GCSE Grades 9-4 (or A*-C) in maths, English and a science subject.
Learners undertaking this apprenticeship will cover as minimum:

Engineering Mathematical and Scientific Principles
Engineering Materials
Standards and Regulations
Machining Tools, Processes and Equipment
Machining Processes and Techniques
Fault Finding and Diagnostic Techniques
On successful completion of this apprenticeship learners will achieve:
Apprenticeship in Machining Technician
Level 2 in English and Maths (if not already achieved)
